Man Arrested While Impersonating Chad Johnson at Louis Vuitton Store

Mervin Cabe attempted to convince employees at a Louis Vuitton store in Aspen, Colorado, that he was former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson in order to purchase in excess of $18,000 of merchandise, according to Jason Auslander of the Aspen Times.

Per that report, Cabe, a Miami resident, "told employees at the high-end luxury goods store that he was Johnson...in order to be able to make the purchase. Customers at Louis Vuitton must have a 'profile ID' in order for their transactions to go through, according to an affidavit filed in Pitkin County District Court.
