Mac Jones is entering a new era with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he started things on a positive note in a 26-13 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
In his preseason debut on Saturday, Jones finished with 98 passing yards on 9-of-11 passing. He couldn't find the endzone, but still looked solid in limited playing time.
While it's hard to take much from a preseason game, Jaguars fans were pleased with Jones' first game with his new team.
While it's unlikely Jones will surpass Trevor Lawrence as the Jaguars' starter anytime soon, he showed signs that he could be of great use if Jacksonville needs to turn to its backup quarterback at any point this season.
