LSU RB Leonard Fournette will not play in Citrus Bowl vs. Louisville

Louisiana State University running back Leonard Fournette will not play in the team's upcoming Citrus Bowl vs. Louisville on Dec. 31, first reported via The Advocate's Ross Dellenger.

Fournette and coach Ed Orgeron made the announcement together at a press conference Friday, basing the decision not to play on the ankle injury that caused him to miss four games. Fournette averaged 6.5 yards per carry and ran for 843 yards with eight touchdowns in 2016 and already announced his intention to enter the draft following the game earlier this month.

Fournette revealed the ankle is about 85-90 percent, but the decision is in mind to get it to full strength through rest and rehab.
