NFL Super Bowl - The Houston Texans will be promoting Lovie Smith from defensive coordinator and "associate head coach" to actual head coach. Nothing official yet, but it's been reported to all the major reporters. Who knows how long this will last. David Culley lasted a year, and the Texans front office is a mess, and it was clear that they really wanted to hire Josh McCown. I don't know if they thought that McCown wasn't ready or maybe thought they would get a lot of pushback for hiring someone with no NFL coaching experience, especially after they were mentioned in Brian Flores' lawsuit for firing Culley.
