Local politicians in Carson get a little nutty, should fit in just fine

Carson, Calif., is more than the site of a proposed NFL stadium.

It’s also the location of a zany scene of local politics, one which the politicians fear could harm the chances with the league to draw two teams there.

According to Nathan Fenno and Richard Winton of the Los Angeles Times, Carson city council meetings have gotten weird, with officials hurling accusations at each other left and right.

This could jeopardize an NFL stadium being built here,” said former mayor and current city clerk Jim Dear (that’s him pictured on the right).
