The Detroit Lions are giving quarterback Jared Goff a lofty extension after he led them to the NFC championship game in 2023.
The Lions are reportedly signing Goff to a four-year, $212 million contract extension, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Monday.
According to Schefter, the deal includes $170 million guaranteed and makes him the highest-paid Lions player in franchise history.
Before the new deal with Goff, the Lions had a team salary cap of $257.166 million, per Over The Cap but with an added $53 million annual salary to give to Goff, that number will be around $279.
