The Lions restructured safety Glover Quin’s contract to give them a bit more room under the salary cap and they’ve used some of that money to add a pair of veterans to the roster.
Detroit announced Wednesday that they have signed cornerback Chris Owens and wide receiver Greg Salas. The team also signed wide receiver Lance Moore on Tuesday.
Owens saw 500 snaps on defense, mainly as a slot corner, for the Chiefs last season. He had 33 tackles and four passes defensed during his only year in Kansas City, which came after 2013 stints in Cleveland and Miami.
