The Lions like DeAndre Levy, but they love his production, and that’s why they rewarded him with a new four-year deal Wednesday.
“A guy that’s as productive as he is, he’s quite a talent,” Lions coach Jim Caldwell said, via Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. “He’s the kind of guy that we like in organization. A tremendous person but also one that sets a great standard I think for the rest of the group.”
Levy signed a four-year extension, and while details are sparse, it reportedly will make him the highest paid non-pass-rushing outside linebacker in the NFL.
