The Lions added some experience to their defensive line Thursday, with a guy who has plenty of NFC North experience.
According to his agent, free agent defensive end Corey Wootton is joining the Lions on a one-year deal.
Wootton spent last year with the Vikings, but his previous four with the Bears. He has 12.0 career sacks, with 7.0 of them coming with the Bears in 2012.
He’s versatile enough to rush from inside or outside, and should help a line that saw defections big and small this offseason.
