The Patriots' quest to repeat as Super Bowl champions continues to be complicated by a string of high-profile injuries.
Starting running back LeGarrette Blount is out for the remainder of the season with a hip injury he suffered during the team's victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday, sources informed of the injury told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport on Tuesday. He is latest Patriots player to have his season sidetracked because of injury.
Blount, who was seen on crutches after the game, has rushed for 703 yards and six touchdowns this season to help the Patriots clinch a seventh consecutive AFC East title.
