The Giants took tackle Ereck Flowers with the ninth pick of the first round last week, which wasn’t seen as a particularly ringing endorsement of Justin Pugh’s ability to handle the right tackle job.
The 2013 first-round pick has started 30 games in his first two seasons in the NFL, but many people have opined that he’d be a better fit at guard after watching him fail to establish himself at tackle over that period of time. The Giants aren’t ready to start shifting people around at this point in the process, however.
