In 2013, the Titans drafted wide receiver Justin Hunter in the second round of the draft in hopes that his impressive mix of size and athleticism would make him a productive target at the professional level.

Hunter had 18 catches as a rookie, drew criticism from wide receiver coach Shawn Jefferson heading into last season and then caught 28 passes in 12 games before a lacerated spleen ended his season. That might help explain why the team made a similar move in the second round of this year’s draft by taking Dorial Green-Beckham.
