The Cleveland Browns secondary was a strength last season, but it lost some depth Tuesday when cornerback Justin Gilbert left practice with an injury. Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland confirmed the injury was a hip flexor.

Gilbert Leaves Practice Early
Tuesday, Aug. 18
Zac Jackson of Pro Football Talk noted Tuesday that Gilbert left Cleveland’s joint practice with the Buffalo Bills “after going down and needing an assist from team trainers to get up and head to the sideline.”
Gilbert did not return to the field, which is a worrisome sign for the former first-round pick entering his second season.
