The Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2015 was formally enshrined during a ceremony in Canton, Ohio, Saturday night, and late San Diego Chargers linebacker Junior Seau was inducted by his family, including his daughter, Sydney.
While Sydney was not allowed to give a complete speech due to Pro Football Hall of Fame regulations regarding the ceremonies for posthumously inducted players, per Pro Football Talk, she was afforded the opportunity to make remarks Saturday evening after the Hall of Fame softened its stance.
"Our goal was to try and keep our policy but also show some compassion and understanding," Pro Football Hall of Fame president David Baker said, according to Fox Sports' Alex Marvez.
