Josh Robinson to PUP, Casey Matthews to IR for Vikings

As expected, the Vikings will be down at least one cornerback at the start of training camp.

The team has announced that cornerback Josh Robinson will start camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list. He reportedly has a partially torn pectoral muscle.

He can be shifted to the active roster at any time; eventually, the Vikings may have to decide whether to put him on the “reserve” version of the PUP list, which would knock him out for the first six weeks of the regular season, at a minimum.

Linebacker Casey Matthews, who signed with the Vikings as a free agent in March, has been placed on injured reserve, ending his season before it even began.
