Former NFL wide receiver Josh Morgan reportedly has been charged with misdemeanor reckless use of a firearm from a January 31 incident.
According to TMZ Sports, Morgan was allegedly cleaning the gun when it accidentally went off and struck him. The report noted he was hospitalized due to injuries he sustained from the incident but that they were "non-life threatening." Someone from Morgan's camp said he's "fine."
Morgan faces a March court date for his misdemeanor charges. The 30-year-old played seven seasons in the NFL after being a sixth-round pick by the San Francisco 49ers in 2008.
