Josh McNary Found Not Guilty of Rape: Latest Details, Comments, Reaction

Former Indianapolis Colts linebacker Josh McNary was acquitted on charges of rape, criminal confinement and battery Thursday, according to Kristine Guerra of the Indianapolis Star.

He described the experience as "traumatic" and "tragic," per Guerra, and his defense attorney, Jessie Cook, noted there was "overwhelming reasonable doubt" regarding the accusations brought against McNary.

The woman who accused McNary of rape in December had claimed he trapped her inside of his apartment and proceeded to rape her after she went home with him. The two had met at an Indianapolis nightclub, and the woman claimed she did not feel well and went to lay down on McNary's bed, and he proceeded to assault her.
