Step One: D'Brickashaw Ferguson retires. The fourth overall draft pick in 2006, Ferguson was perfectly durable, starting every game for the Jets over the next decade and making the Pro Bowl in 2009, 2010, and 2011.
Step Two: The Jets trade for Ryan Clady, giving up their fifth-round draft pick but also getting Denver's seventh-rounder. The two-time All-Pro has struggled to stay healthy in recent seasons. He played only two games in 2013, and the Broncos won the Super Bowl last year even though Clady was out for the entire season. Clady also re-worked his contract to facilitate the trade.
