Earlier this week, a report from NJ.com revealed that 14 NFL teams received money from the Department of Defense as part of an advertising campaign for the armed services and Falcons owner Arthur Blank wrote a letter to the team’s fans on Wednesday explaining the details of the team’s marketing and sponsorship agreements with the National Guard.

The Jets have also offered up a response regarding their relationship with the New Jersey National Guard. The Jets said that media coverage based on “misrepresentations and blatant factual errors” have “unfairly cast doubt on the sincerity” of the team’s “longstanding ties” to the United States military.
