New York Jets linebacker Quincy Williams was fined $45,020 by the NFL for the illegal use of his helmet, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
In the third quarter of the Jets' 37-15 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7, Williams lowered his helmet as he tackled Steelers running back Jaylen Warren near the goal line.
The 28-year-old finished the game with five tackles to go along with a tackle for loss.
