The Jets feel that veteran outside linebackers Jason Babin and Calvin Pace have “plenty of football left” and their optimism at the position extends to one of the younger members of the group as well.
Quinton Coples is heading into his fourth season and the 2012 first-round pick hasn’t produced quite as much as some might have hoped. He has 15.5 sacks in his first three years while moving between the defensive line and linebacker, but the team plans to keep him at linebacker this year and his position coach Mark Collins said that he sees Coples as a player who can help the team in a variety of ways.
