Jets claim tight end Arthur Lynch off waivers from Miami

The New York Jets claimed tight end Arthur Lynch off waivers from the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday.

Lynch was selected in the fifth round the 2014 NFL Draft by the Dolphins. He missed all of his rookie season after a back injury landed him on injured reserve.

Lynch provides extra depth at tight end for the Jets. Jace Amaro (shoulder) and Steve Maneri (hamstring) are dealing with injuries and the Jets have been left short-handed.

The Jets waived punter Jacob Schum to make room for Lynch on their roster.
