Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders took charge of Sunday afternoon's game after the Arizona Cardinals began strong with a touchdown from Marvin Harrison Jr. just before the 10-minute mark in the first quarter.
The Commanders then pulled away, ultimately securing a decisive 42-14 victory by outscoring the Cardinals 25-7 in the second half.
Both the Cardinals and Commanders have their eyes set on turning their franchises around after both teams had 4-13 records last season.
The difference? The Commanders drafted reigning Heisman Trophy winner Daniels during the offseason.
