Jay Cutler, cut by the Chicago Bears after eight years as their starting quarterback, will leave the game to become an analyst on Fox.
Cutler will work with Kevin Burkhardt and Charles Davis, Fox said.
“I started playing tackle football at age 10,” Cutler said in a statement, “and was so lucky to have supportive parents and great coaches along the way.”
Cutler, 34, joins the longtime Cowboy Tony Romo as veteran quarterbacks who left the game this year to become broadcasters. Romo will be CBS’s lead analyst.
Cutler was drafted by the Rams, but he started his career with Denver, in 2006.
