Jason Pierre-Paul: 'I want to get myself right, and I’ll be back'

Defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul hasn’t returned to the New York Giants since injuring his hand in a fireworks accident, but the 26-year-old plans on coming back—when he’s ready.

According to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, Giants defensive line coach Robert Nunn has been in constant contact with Pierre-Paul, and the former first-round pick offered a simple non-specific timetable for his return:

JPP's message, according to Robert Nunn: "Coach, I’m good, I want to get myself right, and I’ll be back."

Nunn’s statement echoes that of Giants defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins.
