Jared Lorenzen offers his services to Jets

The Jets won’t have Geno Smith in the lineup for a while, which leaves them looking for a veteran quarterback to join Ryan Fitzpatrick and Bryce Petty on the roster.

The Pillsbury Throwboy wants the team to know that he’s available. Jared Lorenzen hasn’t played in the NFL since 2008, but he’s kept busy with indoor football and went on Twitter Tuesday to pitch the Jets on bringing him onboard. Lorenzen shared the picture at right and wrote “I already look great in green.”

It’s unlikely that the Hefty Lefty winds up getting the call from the Jets, but he has some company on that front.
