James Jones Signs 1-Year Contract with New York Giants

Wide receiver James Jones has been patiently waiting for an opportunity this offseason, and now the 31-year-old says he is headed to the New York Giants on a one-year deal, according to Fallon Smith of CSN Bay Area.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Jones initially reported would be meeting with the New York Giants.

Rapoport added the allure of the Giants' coaching staff is appealing to Jones:

James Jones loves McAdoo. Respects the heck out of Tom Coughlin RT @ManganTime: @RapSheet Knows the McAdoo offense well, too…

Ben McAdoo is the offensive coordinator in New York, but he worked on the staff in Green Bay for the first seven years of Jones' career beginning in 2007.
