New Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston may have most of his focus on football and the playbook, but this didn’t stop the often-maligned signal caller from responding to the woman who accused him of sexual assault during his playing days at Florida State.
According to Matt Baker of the Tampa Bay Times, Winston has filed a counterclaim against Erica Kinsman, who accused him of rape stemming from an encounter back in December of 2012.
The suit alleges that Kinsman’s allegations are “false, defamatory, and have maliciously and impermissibly interfered with Mr. Winston’s business and personal relationships.
