Dante Fowler said weeks ago that he’d be “stunned” if the Jacksonville Jaguars didn’t take him with the third overall pick in the NFL draft.
Fowler is not stunned.
As expected, the Jaguars took Fowler, the Florida pass rusher, with the third pick. Fowler is the first non-quarterback off the board after Jameis Winston went first and Marcus Mariota went second. Fowler is also the first pick to appear on stage at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago and give Roger Goodell a hug, as both Winston and Mariota stayed home from the draft.
