Jaguars rule QB Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) out against Lions

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence will miss his second consecutive game with a left shoulder injury, head coach Doug Pederson said Wednesday morning.

Mac Jones will start against the Detroit Lions on Sunday and Pederson is optimistic that Lawrence could return after the team's Week 12 bye.

"You guys know how I am with injuries," Pederson said. "We don't want to put a player out there that's not 100% so we're going to rest him one more week."

Jones started last Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings and completed 14 of 22 passes for 111 yards.
