The Texans aren’t ready to put former No. 1 overall pick Jadeveon Clowney on the field just yet.
But they are trying to do more and more with him on the practice field.
Via Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Texans aren’t going to play him in this week’s third preseason game against the Saints, making it unlikely he appears at all in the preseason.
“We’ll do a little bit more with him in practice,” Texans coach Bill O’Brien said. “I’ve been pleased with the way he has reacted and practiced with the plan that we’ve had for him so far.
