The Texans won’t play linebacker Jadeveon Clowney against the Saints this week as they continue to manage his return from microfracture surgery, but the team has seen enough progress to feel good about his chances of being in the lineup when the regular season gets underway.
Coach Bill O’Brien said Wednesday that Clowney is on track to play in that game and that the team will continue “inching him forward” during practice with that goal in mind. One thing they won’t have to worry about in that process is Clowney doubting the health of his knee.
