The Jaguars fired offensive coordinator Greg Olson Saturday and promoted Nathaniel Hackett from quarterbacks coach to coordinator.
The 2-5 Jags lost to the Titans on Thursday night and have the league’s 25th-ranked offense. Most troubling has been the play of Blake Bortles, who has nine interceptions and a passer rating of 80.3, nearly eight points lower than last year.
The run game has also been an issue, with the Jaguars ranked 31st in rushing yards per game (72.6) and 26th in rushing yards per play.
Olson was with the team in 2012 before spending 2013-14 as the Raiders’ offensive coordinator.
