The Jets make their preseason debut Thursday night in Detroit, two days after former Jets linebacker IK Enemkpali punched quarterback Geno Smith in the face, breaking his jaw in two places.
According to Josh Katzenstein of the Detroit News, the musical selection at Ford Field upon the announcement that Smith won’t be playing was I Can’t Feel My Face. from either a group or a person known as The Weeknd.
It’s unclear whether the move was intentional. If it was, it’s hard to wag a finger; it’s been open season for comedians regarding Smith’s injury since the moment news of the broken jaw broke.
