Injury Aftermath: Week 14

Against the Cardinals, Ezekiel Ansah re-injured the same shoulder that has already cost him six games this year. The injury is expected to end his season, perhaps even requiring surgical repair. Ansah is a free agent this season and, while the injury should heal completely by March, this may mean that he has played his final game for the Lions.

Fellow defensive lineman Da'Shawn Hand was also carted off later in the same drive with a knee injury, and was ruled out shortly thereafter. Though the exact injury has not been specified, Hand is likely to miss time and may be placed on injured reserve with the Lions well out of contention.
