Jaguars TE Julius Thomas suffered a fracture in his left hand in Friday's preseason game against the Steelers, the team confirmed.
Thomas left the field in the first quarter and did not return, and the team said they were evaluating his left hand. Coach Gus Bradley said that the break was a "stable fracture" and that he expects Thomas back for the regular season opener but not for the rest of the preseason.
The Jaguars gave Thomas a five-year, $46 M contract in the offseason to lure him away from the Denver Broncos.
