With construction of a new 80,000-seat NFL stadium in Inglewood set to begin in December, the groundwork is already being laid at the location.
Crews imploded the historical Hollywood Park racetrack in Inglewood on Sunday. According to a local ABC affiliate in Southern California, the implosion was met by a number of L.A. Rams fans in anticipation that this location will serve as the team’s home at some point soon.
The Inglewood location, backed by St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke, is in direct competition with a two-team plan in Carson that features the Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers.
