In The Line Of Fire

This piece by Pete Prisco of CBS Sports has been making the rounds the past few days. Prisco sat down with a number of NFL offensive linemen (Tennessee's Chance Warmack, Chicago's Kyle Long and Bobby Massie, and the Giants' Weston Richburg) at LeCharles Bentley's performance center to let them vent their frustrations about their status in the league. Topics include reaction to critical media; the difficulties of evaluating line play (even by other linemen); subpar coaching throughout the league; the importance of cohesion and teamwork at the position; the low standard set by many players at all positions; and the popularity of the spread offense in college and how linemen from those teams face a difficult transition to the NFL.
