The Packers are favored by 7 ½ points in Vegas, making the Bears the second-heaviest underdog of the opening weekend of the NFL season, trailing only the Bucs (+9 ½ at New Orleans), but few will be shocked if the Bears win the game.

In the wake of the Khalil Mack trade, many are now calling the Bears a playoff contender.
The problem with that prediction is neither the Packers nor the Bears are as talented as the Vikings, who may have the most talented roster in the NFL.
The Packers and Bears should be thinking wild card, and with the depth in the NFC South it seems almost certain the Bears will have to leapfrog the Packers to get to the postseason.
