Houston mayor's office weighs in on Kaepernick Instagram post

Colin Kaepernick has apologized for a truly ill-advised Instagram post in which he inexplicably made light of the devastation being wreaked upon the Houston area due to massive flooding that has killed an estimated 17 people, injured scores and left the region in a state of natural disaster.

But to hear it from the Houston mayor’s office, there’s plenty more that the San Francisco 49ers quarterback could do to help make things right.

TMZ reached out to the office of Mayor Annise Parker for comment and received the following response from her press secretary:

“Anything Colin Kaepernick said isn’t really of concern to us,” the press secretary said.
