Heyward: Russell Wilson Bought His Own Steelers Merch at NFL Pro Shop After Signing

It's well known that Russell Wilson is a unique personality, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that he apparently wasted no time in stockpiling Pittsburgh Steelers merchandise after signing with the team as a free agent during the offseason.

Appearing on the Scoop City podcast (starts at 35:00 mark), Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward explained that Wilson went to the official team store and purchased "a lot" of gear even though he could get it for free from the club.

Wilson's excitement to join the Steelers is understandable. He was coming off a disastrous two-year run with the Denver Broncos, including a 2023 season where there seemed to be an instant disconnect with head coach Sean Payton.
