The New York Giants loved Alabama safety Landon Collins enough to trade up and get him.
At the start of the second round of the 2015 NFL draft, the Giants traded their second-round pick (No. 40 overall), fourth-round pick (No. 108) and seventh-round pick (No. 245) to get the 33rd overall pick from the Titans and take Collins. According to the draft trade chart, that was a fair trade for both sides.
Although some questioned whether Collins is good enough in pass coverage, he’s a tough and physical run stopper who can play close to the line of scrimmage and add some toughness to the Giants’ defense.
