The Giants have begun signing their draft picks.
New York has inked deals with fifth-round pick Mykkele Thompson and seventh-round selection Bobby Hart, the team said Thursday on its website.
A Texas product, Thompson (6-2, 215) will play free safety in New York. He started every game as a senior, seeing time both at safety and as a nickel cornerback. Thompson will probably contend for a backup spot in Year One.
Just 20 years old, Hart (6-5, 329) will look to stick as a reserve offensive guard. He was a two-season starter at right tackle for Florida State but will move inside with New York, Giants G.
