The New York Giants hired both general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll ahead of the 2022 season, but that reportedly doesn't mean they will always be linked together as the front office decides on the franchise's future.
"I think the bottom line here, looking at the situation in New York, do not think or believe that they are together," Dianna Russini of The Athletic said Tuesday on the Scoop City podcast (31-minute mark). "They are not a duo. It is not looked at that way."
It would be easy to speculate that Schoen and Daboll are a combined package if the Giants decided to make significant hirings or firings this offseason, as there was a connection in place even before they joined New York.
