Giants Keeping Playoff Berth in Sights on Shoulders of Revitalized Defense

For the first time in years, the New York Giants are winning because of—rather than in spite of—their defense.

It happened when they limited Drew Brees and the high-powered New Orleans Saints to just 288 net yards and 13 points in Week 2. The Saints have scored at least 21 points in every other game they've played this season and have the league's second-highest-scoring offense.

It happened in Los Angeles three weeks ago, when they held the Rams scoreless for the final 50 minutes and gave up just 10 points in total.
