The latest twist in the long-running wait for a decision on Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s appeal of his four-game suspension is that Brady and the league have had talks about a settlement that would provide a final answer about his availability for the start of the season.
Mike Florio reported that there hasn’t been any progress toward a deal and that several NFL owners are pushing NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to keep the suspension in place. NFLPA assistant executive director of external affairs George Atallah was asked about the report during an appearance on Sirius XM NFL Radio with Alex Marvez and Takeo Spikes on Thursday, but didn’t offer up much information.
