Geno Smith has apparently lost the confidence of the New York Jets locker room this summer, but he hasn’t let it get him down. Following his broken jaw and successful surgery, he came out swinging with some bold words.
Throwing passes in front of his apartment complex, Smith displayed the same brash confidence he’s shown throughout his short NFL career.
“I feel great. You see me throwin’, right?” he told The Post, his speech slightly slurred by the swelling.
The Post notes he was “strangely wearing eye-black tape during the casual toss.” Maybe the pain meds had something to do with that, but perhaps the word “strangely” could have been axed for the word “hilariously.
