Gabriel's early 2019 NFL Draft breakdown: West Virginia QB Will Grier

Grier originally enrolled at Florida in 2014 and spent that year as a redshirt. In 2015, he played in six games and completed 106-of-161 passes for 1,204 yards and 10 touchdowns. Following the sixth game he was suspended by the NCAA for 12 months for testing positive for the use of performance-enhancing drugs. At the end of the first semester in 2015, rather than stay at Florida he decided to transfer and enrolled at West Virginia, where he had to sit out the 2016 season. The sitting out a year as a transfer didn’t really matter as he would have missed six games because of the previous suspension.
