Today I was sitting around just thinking about my 30-plus year career in the NFL and all the wonderful people I have had the opportunity to work with/for. I can’t begin to tell you how lucky I have been to sit in the same room and talk football with people like Bill Parcells, George Young, Ernie Accorsi, Norm Pollom (my mentor), Bill Belichick, Jerry Angelo, Lovie Smith and others. Before I started in the league in 1981, I could never have dreamed that.
That being said, there is one person who stands head and shoulders above the rest and that is the late Wellington Mara — the great Hall of Fame owner of the New York Giants.
