The Bills came into camp with a lot of depth at running back, but they’re ending the week with two players on the shelf.
Anthony Dixon is out up to a month after injuring his calf and coach Rex Ryan said Friday that Fred Jackson will also be sidelined. Jackson hurt his hamstring in Friday’s practice and Ryan said, via the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, that the veteran could miss a couple of weeks while he recovers.
That leaves the Bills with LeSean McCoy, Bryce Brown and rookie Karlos Williams as healthy bodies in the backfield with a scrimmage scheduled for Saturday.
